Šodien, 29. novembrī, projekts Icarus tika prezentēts Rīgas domes vadībai, klātesot Rīgas domes priekšsēdētājam Vilnim Ķirsim un Rīgas domes deputātam Olafam Pulkam, klātesot arī Rīgas domes spēlētājiem. Latvijas Olimpisko šaha izlašu sieviešu un atklātās kategorijas un Pasaules kadetu čempionāta dalībnieki. Ar projektu klātesošos iepazīstināja Latvijas Šaha federācijas ģenerālsekretāre un projekta Icarus projektu vadītāja Daiga Falkane. Arī Rīgas mērs Vilnis Ķirsis ir kaislīgs šahists, tāpēc tika izspēlēta arī šaha partija.

Today, on November 29, the Icarus project was presented to the management of the Riga City Council, in the presence Chairman of the Riga City Council – Mr. Vilnis Ķirsis and Riga City Council councillor Mr. Olafs Pulks, in the presence of players of the women's and open categories of the Latvian Olympic chess teams and the participants of the World Cadet Championship. The general secretary of the Latvian Chess Federation and the project manager of the Icarus project Daiga Falkane presented the project to the audience. Mayor of Riga Mr. Vilnis Ķirsis is also a passionate chess player, so a game of chess was also played.
